431 corrosion resistance and use environment :

431 stainless steel is low carbon chromium nickel type corrosion resistance steel, with high strength and hardness.Good corrosion resistance to oxidizing acids (certain temperature, concentration of nitric acid, most of the organic acids), and organic acid aqueous solution.Subwarm quenching can effectively restrain the high temperature tempering brittleness of the steel, reduce the brittleness transition temperature, improve the toughness, change the fracture morphology from quasi cleavage type to dimple type, increase the enrichment degree of alloying elements in the matrix and 5-ferrite, improve the toughness of the steel while maintaining a high strength level.But the welding property of this steel is not good, and it is easy to crack, so it is not suitable to weld when making tools.When the heating temperature is high, although the A-phase of steel increases, the plasticity is good, which is related to the strong recrystallization of part of the microstructure.The steel has the maximum elongation at 1100℃ C.In order to improve the plasticity and surface quality of steel, stop forging, stop rolling temperature should be higher;At the same time, in order to get a uniform structure, a larger forging ratio should be adopted.
